Dear Readers, I last left you at 4:17 a.m. Wednesday morning. My intention was to stay up all night and get stuff done since I had so much to do... however I knocked off around 6 a.m. after I realised the next item on my agenda (update my resume) was just NOT going to work on no sleep.
Later that morning I awoke when Charlie showed up to switch over the utilities, so was able to mark that item off the to-do list. Then began the end-stretch packing marathon, interrupted only by a trip to the bank and to pick up some prescriptions. Pack pack pack pack pack in an attempt to beat the clock. Just when the hour seemed the darkest --
ack this computer won't fit in any box! Ack neither will my college degree! Ack what am I going to do!?!?! --
bitchbat made me calm down with a cigarette. At which point, we were sitting in the nearly packed living room and witnessed a large explosion right outside the living room window. A car and a van had sideswiped each other somehow, and the car careened off to my side of the street, hit a parked car and knocked it onto the sidewalk, and came to rest into the tail end of another parked car. Glass everywhere! Then of course the police, ambulance and tow truck showed up, and all my neighbors came outside to gawk. They ended up gawking at goths dragging 18 suitcases and 97 boxes out to the car, as well (which was of course blocked in by the police cars). Goodbye and good riddance D.C.! We loaded Trixie to the gills, and I took my leave while Cathy waited for Roy to show up and bring the rest of the stuff down to Dr. Dremo's for delivery to its respective guardians.
... To be continued, after we hit Slimelight... :-D
