Oi!
First off if you are eligible to do so, please go vote in today's UK Elections. While I technically have the right to vote as a UK subject, if I do, I will lose my US citizenship... and I'd prefer to vote against Bush. I must say however, I never really thought it would make much difference not being able to vote, but it does. I feel disconnected from the rest of the populace, part of society but unable to really contribute or participate fully in it. I'm here but on the outside. So go vote dammit, don't take your right for granted!

After you have done your civic duty come out to the Dev tonight, [livejournal.com profile] caveynik is DJing so there will be good music and BEER, what else do you need on a Thursday?

This weekend looks like:
Friday - VAST at the Underworld (Who's going???), followed by B-Movie going home and sulking because it's too crowded to go to B-Movie.

Saturday - Trad goth floor at Slimes (Who's going???). Ideally preceded by [livejournal.com profile] ladycat's birthday dinner. Perhaps more [livejournal.com profile] ladycat birthday shenanigans on Sunday. Have to take the damn vacuum cleaner back and pick up my dry cleaning too, the rock'n'roll never ends...

Boring Stuff:
- I have forgot my mobile at home today so e-mail me if you need to get ahold of me
- Boring but great news: Yesterday's post included a package containing

CHECKS FROM CITIBANK!!!

Financial freedom is mine!!! (Now all I need is some money! heh)

Tantalising horoscope in today's Metro:
"Virgo: Your love life is a little awkward but that's a good thing. All you have to do is use your brain -- not your libido."
Hmmm.......!

Wow!

Thanks to resident legal expert [livejournal.com profile] seth6666 for dispelling the myth that I cannot vote in British elections! (Erm, a bit too late for this time around, but when do we get to vote against Blair? heh)

Most U.S. citizens, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. Dual nationals may also be required by the foreign country to use its passport to enter and leave that country. Use of the foreign passport does not endanger U.S. citizenship. Most countries permit a person to renounce or otherwise lose citizenship.

So I can go to the front of the queue in the US on my US passport, and the front of the queue returning on my UK passport, and it's not cheeky! hee! *must replace UK passport*
