Was fun if a bit slow. I hadn't been before but I kinda figured that being on a non-Bank Holiday Sunday, it would be tough to fill the Ballroom. I was DJing upstairs (oddly enough, I had never even been in that room before) so I hope to get back there and play to the main floor at some point. Yes a floor like that is every DJ's dream.

Setlist, 11-12:00

Fields of the Nephilim - Blue Water
Bella Morte - Forever Grey
Vampire Beach Babes - Gothmobile
Dead Kennedys - California Uber Alles
Alien Sex Fiend - Ignore the Machine (Electrode Mix)
The Creatures - Exterminating Angel (Remix)
New Order - Blue Monday
Cruxshadows - Winter Born
Sisters of Mercy - This Corrosion[1]
London After Midnight - Kiss
March Violets - Snake Dance
Merry Thoughts - Pale Empress

[1] when you need to generate a dance floor, go to the loo and buy a beer, all at the same time!

It was great to see Rae from D.C. who is living in London now and engaged to one of the members of Big Audio Dynamite.

And [livejournal.com profile] sumnaa whose band kinHo are playing at Madame Jo Jo's on Thursday, if you haven't seen them you should GO because they ROCK! There is a Peaches side project too, how can you go wrong?

Right... back to Monday *groan*

Ahh, is this why you played Sisters Corrosion (1)??

Yeah that's called a "footnote." (I suppose I should have just used an asterisk since there is no #2, but asterisk means request so maybe I should just make another footnote! hehe)

Actually. There is 2 versions of This Corrosion. One made with out the female voice. The other with the female voice. So, I guess you can call the original 1? The updated version 2?

It's a footnote.

Got a better way to say "footnote"?

Besides which I think you are thinking of "Temple of Love."

Fucked up as ususal!

Shit. I was. Never write an entry while you are half asleep. Grr.

Or better to say than "D'oh"!

Either 'This Corrosion' OR 'Temple of Love' do it for me - I find it almost impossible NOT to get up and dance...and they're easily long enough to go to the loo and still have time to grow some hops and BREW some beer LOL So a good DJing-call, that one!

Take care

Yes my friend [livejournal.com profile] rmerciless and I at one point nicknamed Temple of Love '92 [does that work for you Carolynn? ;) ] "Let's Kill All the Old Goths"
Because you gotta dance to it, and you gotta dance enthusiastically, and all the way through or you lose your goth points. Whew!

She's been over here for quite a while now. I met her last Oct in the Ballroom over several games of pinball. Was good to run into her & Andre again at Antichrist. Hmmm, small world syndrome.
