Dreadnought actually has a website now!

And some actual flyers! That look like this:

In an effort to kill trees as well as animals they've printed 5,000 of them, so expect me to stick some in your grubby little mitts at some point soon.

There is also the LiveJournal [livejournal.com profile] dreadnoughtclub community which you should join and make requests, harass the promoters and swap yam recipes.

Thank you [livejournal.com profile] latexiron and [livejournal.com profile] mock2 for crediting me with finding the venue Clockwork for you... unlike SOME people!

SEE YOU ON THE 28TH!

Looking forward to it- I loved the venue and thought it was a shame 'we' weren't using it....Reminds me of a place back home with a chain-link fenced recessed dance floor (very handy later in the evening)
Only thing is- I HOPE TO HELL THEY SORTED OUT THE SOUND!!!! Last time I was there I spent a fair amount of time complaining/helping sound check from the floor level as it was deplorable!

Oh dear, what was wrong with it?

We're using our own Decks and EQ. I looked round the place, saw they had ElectroVoice active kit, and reckoned that would be good enough.

If needbe I will run up there with El Mocko tomorrow and do a sound check.

oh, cool- I'm glad you're gonna go check it out first, I really want the night to be a huge success for everyone!
Was quite awhile ago now, but despite there being a full complement of (mental block) Speakers, the ones on the floor were not hooked up for some reason- so the effect was really flat, no bass sound- a missing layer..too much high-end hitting at head level if you're standing on the dancefloor..
Had a great time anyway, but I'm a sound-quality freak with some tech training, so I found it disturbing.
cheers!

You have tech training? Cor! We have no idea what we are doing.

I don't suppose you could be persuaded to stop at the venue tomorrow night when I am (planning to be) there, shortly before B-Movie, and tell me if it's been fixed since last time, obviously in return for a few drinks?
